The Northern Neck Regional Special
Education Program serves children ages 2 through 21 who live
in the service area and through the eligibility process have
been found to have the following disabilities:
* Speech and Language Impaired
*
Developmentally Delayed
*
Moderate Intellectual Disabilities
*
Severe and Profound Intellectual Disabilities
Recent research shows that the greatest window of opportunity to
influence child development is during the first years of life.
Therefore, it is important to identify young children with
disabilities or young children who may be at risk for
